Benevolent Spirit whom God, in His infinite mercy, has allowed to accompany me on this earthly journey, be my guide on the arduous path of life; restore my strength when I falter, sustain me when I waver, raise me when I fall.
Do not take into account my faults due to my weakness; be indulgent and kind to me, as I would be to a weaker brother. Keep away from me, my good Protective Spirit, the evil thoughts that might lead me to evil; enlighten me with your light, fortify my conscience, give me courage in trials and resignation in afflictions.
May my thoughts always be turned towards God. I am convinced that you deserve all my trust, as you have all my gratitude. Watch over me, Protective Spirit, as I will strive to watch over and do good to those whom God entrusts to me. So be it.
